Delivered by Tiny Farm in partnership with NFUSA, the program combines practical farm experience with essential regenerative agriculture knowledge
Learn by Doing
Training takes place at Tiny Farm, a working farm where participants are fully immersed in daily operations, from soil preparation to harvest and distribution.
Participants gain experience across the full growing cycle while building confidence and practical skills.
What You’ll Learn
Participants receive step-by-step training in:
- Soil health, composting, and fertility management
- Crop planning and succession scheduling
- Irrigation setup and troubleshooting
- Organic pest and disease management
- Nursery management and propagation
- Bed preparation, planting, and field maintenance
- Harvesting, washing, packing, and distribution
All methods emphasize low-input, regenerative practices suitable for small scale farms and community projects.

Pathways Forward
Graduates are eligible for leadership roles managing NFUSA mini farms, including the FIU site, and may be considered for paid work with Tiny Farm or other local farms.
