The Beginning Farmers Training Program prepares aspiring growers to manage neighborhood-scale farms through hands-on, real-world training.

Learn by Doing

Training takes place at Tiny Farm in Miami, FL, a working farm where participants are fully immersed in daily operations, from soil preparation to harvest and distribution.
Participants gain experience across the full growing cycle while building confidence and practical skills.

Pathways Forward

Graduates are eligible for leadership roles managing NFUSA’s community gardens and mini farms, including the FIU site, and may be considered for paid work with Tiny Farm or other local farms.
