Shared Harvest Program
Farm Application
The Shared Harvest Program helps farms get peak-quality, nutrient-dense produce to food banks, pantries, mutual-aid fridges, and community nutrition programs without placing the full financial burden on the farmer.
What makes Shared Harvest different: this is not a “leftovers” program for produce that has been sitting at a market stand all day, nor is it a place to offload B-grade products. Shared Harvest is designed to move fresh, harvest-at-its-peak food that a farm simply wasn’t able to sell that week, then deliver that same freshness to people who need it most.
NFUSA reimburses 50% of the wholesale value of verified weekly/biweekly/monthly donations (paid monthly, with program caps). This supports the farmer’s labor of harvesting, washing, packing, and delivery while increasing access to truly great food in the community.
