What We're Growing

We are constantly updating our produce to keep up with the changing seasons, interests, and needs of our garden. Check out a few featured items we’re currently growing in our gardens:

Spinach is a perennial vegetable. Perennial means it is not seasonal, but it lasts a long time. You will always have a harvest with this abundant, super healthy plant.

Variety is one of the keys to health. Eat as many different vegetables with different colors, shapes, and flavors, as you can. All of these attributes mean a healthy variety of nutrients and antioxidants that your body will thank, to clean, and heal itself.

Harvest your vegetables, like the cabbage pictured, early in the morning, ideally before the sun hits them directly.

To preserve the freshness of vegetables just like these, rinse them with cold water and store them inside a bag in the fridge. Or even better, eat them right away!

Pineapples are ready to harvest once you see a small yellow dot somewhere in the fruit. Once you harvest it, cut the top and replant it so you can have a harvest again next season.

Food for Thought

Simple Salsa:

Ingredients:
  • 5 garden vine tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño
  • Salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Wash and finely dice the tomatoes.
  • Wash and finely chop the cilantro.
  • Wash the jalapeño, remove its seeds, and finely chop it.
  • Mix all ingredients together, adding salt to taste.
